Adirondack night skies are one of the most beautiful things in the world…I wish I could describe to you in words what it is like to sit in the middle of the lake and look up. Nowhere else have I seen the milky way split the sky from horizon to horizon like it does here and nowhere else do shooting stars look like fireballs flying above you. Last night some of us went out in the Jadie and just floated for awhile. The sky was as inky black as ever and the stars and milky way nearly took my breath away. Never gets old…

This morning Gemma and I bushwhacked into Fawn Lake…After a large encounter with stinging nettles, disagreements over the proper way to actually ‘leap frog’ while bushwhacking and a period of being completely lost and disoriented, we are now one step closer to getting the elusive campcraft masters!
